 The indigenous peoples of Mexico were already producing mezcal long before the arrival of the Spanish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mezcal has deep roots in Mexico's indigenous culture, dating back to prehistoric times. It is believed that indigenous peoples were already making alcoholic beverages from agave before the arrival of the Spanish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, with the arrival of these people, traditional production methods were combined with European techniques. The distillation process was perfected and mezcal became a more refined drink.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is important to name the mezcal masters who are the guardians of tradition, transmitting their knowledge and techniques from generation to generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From a young age, they learn about the process, techniques and secrets of mezcal from their parents, grandparents or close relatives. These future mezcal masters are involved in all stages of the production process, from agave harvesting to distillation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
